STEM Education:
From School to a Tech World
Mobility in Lousado
The last mobility of our project took place at FORAVE, from 10 to 17 March 2024.
For two years, FORAVE and Tallinna 53.Keskkool´s teachers developed Learning Units in the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) areas, which were shared and implemented in both schools, aiming to make lessons in these subjects more attractive and motivating for students.
During the mobility week at FORAVE, teachers and students from both schools shared presentations about their countries and schools, took part in activities on Robotics, Physics, Chemistry, Technical Design, 3D Printing, Augmented Reality, and Virtual Reality, and visited the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Porto and the centre Ciência Viva, in Guimarães.
Mobility in Tallinn
The first project mobility took place in May 2023. During the week, 16 participants from both partners’ schools made presentations and participated in lessons, workshops, and visits related to STEM subjects.
In Tallinn, the group had some workshops and lessons at the Tallinn University of Technology, and at TKK University of Applied Sciences. There were also visits to the Energy Discovery Center and the Estonian Maritime Museum.
The project programme also included activities in the city of Tartu, namely at the Estonian University of Life Sciences and at the Estonian Science Centre AHHAA.
